How do I update the browsers and keywords list in Webtrends?

Introduction:
The browsers.ini file contains information about the different browsers, platforms, devices, and spiders found in the cs-(UserAgent) field in the log files. As new agents are created all the time, this file must be updated periodically in order to stay current.

The keywords.ini file contains information about the search engines found in the cs-(referer) field in the log files. New search engines appear and existing ones sometimes modify the context of search criteria, so this file must also be updated on a regular basis to stay current.

With Webtrends Analytics 8.1 forward, the Webtrends Configuration Data Updater is available to simplify this process. Running the executable will update both of these files in all locations, and related reports will reflect these changes from the next analysis.

This update is only available for Webtrends versions 8.1x and higher.
